Our growing chapter of professional communicators lives and works in the greater Jacksonville region and beyond. While the majority of our members reside in Jacksonville, Florida, several of our chapter members live as far away as South Georgia, North Florida and Central Florida.
Our chapter provides excellent opportunities for your professional development. We offer monthly chapter meetings by facilitating dynamic programs to meet membership needs, career and skills development, and networking opportunities With guest speakers and webinars. We are continuously finding new ways to update and educate our members on emerging trends in communication.
Community Hospice of Northeast Florida
Established in 1979 as the first community-based, nonprofit hospice program in Northeast Florida, Community Hospice of Northeast Florida helps nearly 1,000 patients live better with advanced illness each day in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties, through the support of more than 700 employees and nearly 900 volunteers.
The nonprofit organization has served nearly 59,000 children and adults — at home, in long term care facilities, hospitals and through its four inpatient centers throughout Jacksonville. No one is ever denied care due to an inability to pay.

Lois Fiorelli
I’m a native of Delaware who was raised in Panama City, Florida and Brunswick, Georgia. I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and have worked as a radio news producer/anchor, TV news reporter (for the military), corporate trainer and administrator. I’ve also written a few free-lance newspaper and magazine articles.
I joined IABC in 2006 and immediately got involved with the membership committee. Last year I coordinated the membership spotlights for the monthly chapter newsletter and this year I’ll help plan/coordinate new member luncheons.
How did you become interested in IABC?
In 2004, I interviewed for a job at Convergys with Amanda Davidson. During the informal post-interview, Amanda invited me to an IABC meeting. The members made me feel comfortable and at home. I can honestly say our chapter is one of the friendliest and most helpful groups I’ve been a part of in my career.
